My encounter with Colonel Fitzwilliam

Earlier today when I was walking, I was met by Colonel Fitzwilliam. He had mentioned that Darcy was in control of the departure date for them to leave Rosings. Later in the conversation he had mentioned that he thought Bingley to be much indebt to Mr. Darcy for having saved him from a bad marraige. I have concluded that Mr. Darcy is in fact responsible for Jane's misfortune in love. I can only assume that he broke off the marriage because of social reasons, for Jane herself has no bad qualities and is by far the sweetest woman I know. I plan to confront Mr. Darcy on this affair the next time I see him.
